About StoreCompliant: who builds it and why
StoreCompliant is a small, focused product: one app for the three things EU consumer law asks an online shop to show.
Why it exists
Three new duties, one careful tool
Within a short period, EU consumer law has asked online shops to show three new things: the lowest price of the last 30 days under a discount, a harmonised notice about the legal guarantee, and a withdrawal function. Each has its own directive and its own date.
A small shop usually has no legal team. Meeting three separate duties would mean three scripts or three plugins, each with its own wording, its own settings and its own way of going wrong.
StoreCompliant is one tool instead. It shows the three things in each shopper’s language, keeps the records behind them, and is plain about what it does and does not do. Read what the app does or the guides to the rules.
Principles
How the app is meant to behave
Show the official wording
Where the EU has published the text or the artwork, the app shows it as published and does not rephrase it. The legal guarantee notice is the Commission’s own, unchanged.
Never a figure without a record behind it
The 30-day price line appears only when the app has the price history to support it. For a product with no history it shows nothing rather than a number it cannot stand behind.
Say what the app does not do
It helps you display information and keeps records. It does not make a shop compliant, give legal advice or decide what your prices should be.
No dark patterns
No countdown timers, no fake scarcity and no pressure on shoppers. The withdrawal button is easy to find because the rule says it must be.
Minimal data
The app stores catalogue data and settings. It stores shopper details only for withdrawal requests, and it sets no tracking cookies on your storefront.
No invented proof
This site shows no reviews, ratings, customer counts or logos until there are real ones to show. What it claims about the law is quoted from the official texts, which every guide links.
Who is behind it
Operator, data controller and support, in one place
StoreCompliant operates the service. It is the data controller for the data the service holds and the contact for support. The privacy policy, the data processing agreement and the legal notice have the details.
StoreCompliant is a compliance aid, not legal advice. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the European Union, Wix, Shopify or WooCommerce. To reach us, see contact and support; the general address is hello@storecompliant.com.
